School Hours: 8am-2pm (*3 Year Olds depart at 12:30)

All aspects of our school work together to meet the physical, psychological and emotional needs of the child. We consider schooling not to be a preparation for life, but life itself!

Maria Montessori said "follow the child." Based on the teacher's observations of the children each day, individual or small group lessons are planned and presented to meet the needs of the children in real time. They learn at their own pace and their interests and talents are recognized and fostered.

All members of our community, including children, staff and parents are part of the learning process. Our mixed age environment allows children to be students and teachers to each other simultaneously. The adults learn from the children, and cultivate their own self development. In order to develop the next generation's love of nature and stewardship towards our Planet, we provide ample time for outdoor exploration in our beautiful garden. Children work freely outdoors, are introduced to local flora and fauna, and participate in monthly outings to diverse natural areas. Our school upholds sustainable practices to help children develop conscientious environmental habits.



Sustainable



We are committed to sustainability values at our school. We offer recycling collection to our entire school community for plastic, metal, glass, cardboard and compostables. We use simple solutions to minimize waste, consume conscientiously, and model care for the environment.



Authentic



Our school adheres to the strict guidelines set by the International Montessori Association (AMI), an organization originally headed by Dr. Maria Montessori herself.



Curriculum



Our carefully prepared environment offers opportunity for children to happily explore the world of art, language, science, mathematics, music, geography, and food preparation all through hands on materials.

Admissions



Admissions at Beautiful Sun are limited to the number of available openings each year. We try to maintain a balanced age and gender ratio. Interested families must make an appointment prior to requesting applications.



Tuition and Fees



Our school is completely parent funded and therefore runs solely on the tuition payed by each family. The yearly tuition fee is 10.100 AWG. Payment plans and scholarships are available. Discounts are not granted for absences of any duration. Tuition covers the school program, all materials, nutritious meals (lunch and snack), and field trips.
